 Chose from the world, if now I stand, 

Adorn'd with righteousness divine; 

If, brought into the promised land,

I justly call the Saviour mine;

この世から選び分かってください、

今、私が神の義を持って飾られて立っているのでしたら。

もし、約束の地に導き入れて頂いたなら、

私はまさしく私の救い主よとお呼びします。

The sanctifying Spirit pour,

To quench my thirst and wash me clean, 

Now, Saviour let the gracious shower 

Descend, and make me pure from sin.

潔めの御霊を注いでください、

私の渇きを癒し、私を洗い潔めるために。

救い主よ、今、恵みの雨を降らせ

降り、私を罪から清めてください。

Purge me from every sinful blot: 

My idols all be cast aside:

Cleanse me from every evil thought, 

From all the filth of self and pride.

私の罪深い汚点を除いてください。

私の偶像を遠くに投げ捨て、

すべての悪しき思いと、すべての汚れた自我と傲慢から、

私を潔めてください。

The hatred of the carnal mind

Out of my flesh at once remove: 

Give me a tender heart, resign'd, 

And pure, and fall of faith and love.

憎むべき罪の心を、

私の体から直ちに除き去り、 

失われていたやさしいこころ与え、

そして清め、信仰と愛とに陥らせてください。

O that I now, from sin released,

Thy word might to the utmost prove, 

Enter into thy promised rest;

The Canaan of thy perfect love!

 オー、それを今私は知っています。

罪から解放されたことを。

あなたのみことばがその最上の保証です。

 あなたの約束された安息に入らせてください。完全な愛のカナンに！

Now let me gain perfection's height!

Now let me into nothing fall;

Be less than nothing in my sight,

And feel that Christ is all in all.

今私に完全の高さに至らせて、

今私のすべての堕落をなくさせて、

私の見るものすべてが消え失せて、

そしてキリストがすべてのすべてと感じさせてください。
